Below are some of the yummiest restaurants, exciting lounges, and fun things that we experienced together in downtown Toronto. If you have any free time over the weekend, feel free to check some out! Happy to provide more recommendations, should you need.

Brunch

gusto 101

You'll get taken care of real good in this beautiful, rustic outdoor rooftop spot, and could get your bill cut in half if you accidentally order sausage in your eggs. Ask Muf!
Brunch

mildred's temple kitchen

Celebrated Zai's 25th together and had a super bougie brunch. The scones are to die for, paired with their in-house jams that never disappoint.
Brunch

insomnia

Famous for their exceptionally large pancakes, enjoy some good ol' fashion comfort food in this cozy restaurant.
Dinner

baro

Love us some spanish food. Great vibes, great service, and possibly the most mouth-watering duck confit paella in Toronto.
Dinner

la carnita

The place where Zai fell in love with tacos. A repeat spot for Muf and Zai. Need we say more?
Dinner

pizza libretto

We had our first date here and ended off the dreamy proposal night at this cute, cozy and delicious pizza restaurant.
Dinner

pai

This newly expanded restaurant is one of the best Thai restaurants in Toronto. Go with an empty stomach, because the portions are exceptionally large!
Dinner

lee

Ever wonder what a 1ft high plate of coleslaw looks like? How about a drink with 19 ingredients? Look no further because famous Chef Susur Lee's Asian-Italian menu is sure to amaze.
Dessert

sweet jesus

Don't be fooled by this tiny, hidden ice cream joint; their long lines are worth the wait, with insta-worthy treats! Not to mention, they play the best 6IX God music.
Dessert

bang-bang

The line-up here is a way worse than Sweet Jesus, BUT it's beyond worth it. Get fresh waffle cones made-to-order or indulge in their infamous ice cream sandwiches.
Rooftop

the porch

We have been dying to go to this new-ish rooftop since it opened! It is always buzzing in the summer and is definitely a go-to in the city.
Rooftop

the broadview hotel

One of the best views in Toronto, has NYC vibes, and is located in the east-end where Zai lives!
Rooftop

mascot brewery

This rustic, industrial rooftop is super chill, great for big groups and is located in the heart of the 6.
Lounge

barchef

See how science and art come together to create delicious masterpieces.
Lounge

weslodge

Music is always poppin' here with this dim-lit, cabin-vibe restaurant. They will literally go to their adjacent restaurant to grab you hot chocolate should you crave any.
Club

everleigh

The destination for Zai's bachelorette and an amazing time if you're looking for one. Plays lots of old school tracks with top 40s.
Club

the citizen

A great suave 1930's-inspired spot for people who are from out of town. Perfect mix of top 40s, hip-hop, R&B and pop.
Club

wayward

Find yourself dancing here with the most fun people at one of the best hip-hop, R&B and trap spots in town.
Rooftop Club

lavelle

Spent Zai's 26th birthday here for dinner together. Amazing views, super romantic and has a rooftop pool. Maybe it was Muf's birthday...
Rooftop Club

cabana pool bar

Like a luxury pool party in Ibiza. Bring bathing suit.
Festival

nuit blanche

Every year, Toronto hosts a massive overnight art festival with complex art installations scattered all throughout the city. If you have the energy, on September 29th, from sunset to sunrise party with the 6IX all over the streets of downtown.
Shopping

shopping on queen street

You can spend an entire day on this street from cute cafes to vintage shops, asian gelato and vinyl stores, this is one of the most fun streets in Toronto (Zai's fave!)
Shopping

kensington market

Calling all hipsters! This walkable bohemian neighbourhood is sure to capture artists and tourists to its indie shops, vintage boutiques and arts spaces. Bring your polaroid!
Activity

kayaking

Muf's first kayaking adventure was here on this very island. It can be super romantic and has a stunning view of the city skyline.
Beach

woodbine beach

We haven't been here yet, but hear is great for people watching, has multiple snack-bars and the water is marked with a Blue Flag [meets safety standards for swimming].
Cafe

snakes & lattes

Cuddle up with some friends and lattes and bust out the board games for this super fun, yet relaxing spot (perfect for a rainy day!).
